Sorry, but one of the modpack team members accidentally deleted Advanced Machines and it got into the update. It's been restored, but you will have to update again.

If you lost anything, be sure to ask us.

An update for Alice has been pushed. You will be prompted to update your client.

  • Updated the server software (Cauldron/MCPC+) to the latest build (b4).
  • Added DimensionalDoors v2.2.3.
    • Create "pocket dimensions" to store your stuff in.
    • Explore random pocket dimension dungeons!
    • Signature rifts are currently disabled.

  • Added PneumaticCraft v1.1.4e.
    • Build and craft items with pneumatic machines.
    • Yes, TNT should work to create compressed iron!

  • Re-enabled Compressor Tubes from Tubes.
    • Previously known to kick players with a "Internal server error."

  • Re-enabled Igneous Extruders.
    • The quickest and most efficient way to generate cobblestone is still with the Transfer Node from ExtraUtilities.

  • Removed Simply Recycling.
    • Added reverse crafting/smelting recipes for metal tools and so on.

  • Updated SimplyJetpacks to v0.3.0.0.
  • Updated Tubes to v2.0.3.
  • Updated ForgeMultipart to build 268.
  • Updated BigReactors from 0.3.2A to 0.3.3A.
  • Updated Gendustry from 1.0.3.41 to 1.1.3.78.

Alice will be updated in multiple parts, simply because it will make troubleshooting much simpler.

The changes currently slated for the first update — which has not been pushed — include:
  • An update of Mariculture (originally slated for removal)
  • The addition of PneumaticCraft
  • The removal of Simply Recycling, which provides reverse crafting/smelting recipes for pickaxes and so on but currently makes up around 14% of the modpack's load time
  • The re-enabling of the Igneous Extruder (though be aware that there are more efficient methods of generating cobble)
  • An update of the server software (Cauldron/MCPC+), which is a big jump from our ancient version and may fix various "Internal server errors"

I was also planning on adding Mr. Crayfish's Furniture Mod, but it seems that ExtraUtilities does not play well with it.

Remember that this is only the first update, and even then, it is subject to change.

Hello everyone! Alice hasn't gotten a lot of love recently, so I'll like to push out an update in the next week (or over this weekend). However, to do so, I'd like some feedback.
  • What mods should be considered for addition, even if denied before?
  • What mods should be updated?
  • What mods should be removed?
  • What blocks or items should be re-enabled that have been disabled?

We'll also try to update the server software in the process, which is extremely old.

Here's an updated Vincent 1.7 railway map.

Vincent had crashed, but now it's back up.

I'm happy to announce the availability of the SKCraft Archive, featuring over 38 GB of prior worlds, modpacks, and archived material.

I also have an ad-hoc server up that hosts all the vanilla worlds if any old members are interested. Please contact me about that.

Alice has been restarted (or is restarting as we speak).

A long-term goal has been to make all of our old worlds available for download, but only now am I able to say that I expect to make most of our past worlds available within the next week.

The one exception is Alice 1.0, as I do not believe that I hosted that server and I don't appear to have any copy of it. Alice 1.0 had the free IC2 power provided at spawn. (Alice 1.2.5 was the ocean world.)

Other than that, however, you will be able to download:
  • MC Alpha 1.1: World 1 - creative/survival first world
  • MC Alpha 1.2: World 2 - survival world with dock spawn, first server with logic gate mods in Minecraft
  • MC Beta 1.1: World 3 - short-lived survival world with university near spawn
  • MC Beta 1.2: World 3.5 - survival world
  • MC Beta 1.3: World 4 - creative world with high rise city
  • MC Beta 1.4 to 1.7:
    • Vincent (survival):
      • Balton - with extensive rail network
      • Ozzar - secondary world
      • Skylands

    • James (creative):
      • 6.5 - dock spawn, mini-games
      • Test world - Redstone testing
      • Valenfall

  • MC Beta 1.8:
    • Vincent 1.8:
      • Welwyn - city spawn with church, library

    • James 1.8:
      • Main world
      • Private test world
      • Public test world

  • MC 1.0-1.1:
    • Vincent 1.0:
      • Welwyn - continued on from 1.8
      • Summerhold
      • Gateway world

    • James 1.0:
      • Main world
      • Public test world
      • Public test world

    • Alice 1.0:
      • NOT AVAILABLE

  • MC 1.2:
    • Vincent 1.2
    • Alice 1.2.5 (Velendell)

  • MC 1.3:
    • Vincent 1.3
    • Alice 1.2.5 - continued

  • MC 1.4: Alice 1.4
  • MC 1.5: Alice 1.5

I also hope to make a list of warps, homes, points of interests, and lists of chunk claims available whenever applicable.

Is anyone interested in playing Left 4 Dead 2 with us?
  • You can be bad at the game. We don't care.
  • You can be good too, but don't be a drama queen.
  • The game frequently goes on sale for $5 USD, so don't bother buying it for $20 USD.
