As you know, we have had a fair number of network issues over the past month, and it is entirely due to blame on our data center. The only fix is to move out of the data center, but of course, powerful servers capable of running Alice do not come cheap. Ironically, moving outside the data center means a larger number of concurrent players (as a result of better network connectivity), meaning we have to deal with even more people, therefore requiring even more resources. We're ready to hop out to another server when opportunity arises (the last server move had less than a minute of downtime), and so if you've been unable to get on, or have not had great connectivity, be aware that it's still on our mind.
We had some plans from a month ago towards acquiring a new system with a better processor, but as the relevant parties have become a little busy, things have been severely pushed back. In the best case scenario, we might be able to move over in a few weeks, so hold tight.

We've identified an issue with high bandwidth usage in ComputerCraft or ComputerCraft add-on, but much more likely to be an addon. You may have noticed greater usage in your Internet bandwidth usage for the past few weeks, and this may be the cause.
As soon we find it, we may need to remove the problemtic mod.

- How many people are having connection issues?
- How bad is it? How frequent?
- And where do you live in the world?
I am considering moving the server back to the location in New York. It has a worse CPU, but a lot of people are back at school now and we may not have many lag problems.

ChickenChunks (chunk loaders) are temporarily disabled because we're trying to see whether it is the cause of:
- Issues with entities duplicating (golems, etc.)
- Severe server lag spikes from IC2
We know they play a part in boilers exploding.
Since this disables chunk loading, we're going to look into either restoring them in the future or providing other methods of chunk loading.
