I've written a web-based editor that works with the FTP server to let you access your ComputerCraft computers from the web!
 • Access your ComputerCraft computers directly from the web.
 • Edit your scripts and have them save directly to computers.
 • Catch errors early with the built-in syntax checking editor.
 • Automatically detect language and tab size on file load.

Try it here: http://ide.skcraft.com/

This is a bit of a beta, and while I doubt it could eat your files, make backups anyway.

I was going to add a Lua shell too so you could test/run snippets of Lua code, but I haven't yet.

The ComputerCraft FTP server works again, but you'll need to connect to ftp.skcraft.com instead.

With the server, you can upload or download your Lua scripts easily with any FTP client, or edit files directly from a FTP-capable code editor such as Notepad++.

I made something for use in Alice 1.5.

You're welcome.

(Yes, it works for all kinds of plate.)

I know quite a few people are not happy that we haven't done any sort of reset in the past few weeks, so I've decided to try a poll and see what peoples' opinions on the matter is at the moment.

Please note: This will not be the final decision, but it might greatly affect the team and SK's indecisiveness.

Recently, there has been an ongoing conflict between GregoriusT, the creator of GregTech, and mDiyo, the creator of Tinkers' Construct.

Basically what has been happening is Greg making more and more changes to vanilla recipes, mDiyo reverting some of them if Tinkers' Construct is installed, which in turn angers Greg.

This has eventually resulted in Greg putting code in GregTech that simply makes the game crash if Tinkers' Construct is installed (an ItsNotMyFaultException). This can be classified as malicious code, if not flat out malware...

Now of course, we don't want mods with malicious code in them in our modpack. (This particular code even makes the game unplayable.) If Greg doesn't do anything about this (which says a lot about his attitude against other modders and end users), we'll have to find a solution for this. Some of the things we can do are:

- Completely remove GregTech from our pack. This would, however, also arguably make it too easy to reach endgame (though that is not the point of Minecraft if you ask me).
- Stay with an older version of GregTech, until Greg gets rid of his malicious code. If he doesn't get rid of the code, we would have a problem when we update to 1.6, similar to the RedPower problem when updating to 1.5. We would also miss out on new features and bug fixes.

We have even considered coding our own version of GregTech, with only the good and nice stuff in it. However this would take a while, as most of us still need to learn how to code with Minecraft Forge, if not Java itself :I

I have created a poll here to see if GregTech is actually still wanted these days. Greg has been adding more and more changes to vanilla to make it more 'realistic' lately (just more tedious if you ask me), some of which are not even configurable. Even some of us who would always defend GregTech are now losing respect for Greg, as he is clearly going too far at this point.

So what's your opinion on all this? Or do you have another solution to this problem? Please voice it below.

Click here for the (unofficial) changelog of GregTech

EDIT: Greg has disabled his crashing code, and TConstruct's disabling of GregTech's vanilla changes is now a config option. Crisis averted. Sorta.

We apologize for the server going down so suddenly. But we're diligently trying to fix an issue with the matter fab. And the server should be up within the next 10 minutes.

We thank you for your patience.

A Client Update is REQUIRED for update 18. If you haven't already, you need to update your launcher, by downloading it here.

We have added:

 • Minefactory Reloaded, a new set of fun machines to play with!
 • NEI Addons, which are additional recipes shown in NEI, such as Bees and more!
 • Extra Cells, Which is an Addon that has many more storage disks for Applied Energistics.
EDIT: Some GregTech changes as well:
• Ruby to Energy Crystal Enabled.
 • Fire Protection on Quantum Chestplate Enabled.
 • Capes enabled.
 • Lava and Dirt centrifuging disabled.
 • The Matter Fabricator can again take unlimited eu/t (not /p) thanks to Shadow.
The last thing is being able to shift click from NEI in the crafting terminal.
