If you haven't heard, Minecraft 1.2 is a fairly big update. The major changes include:
- Worlds can now be up to 256 blocks high, double the height of current worlds (!)
- A new jungle biome has been added
- A new ocelot (a feline) mob has been added that you can tame
- Improved mob AI for all mobs; mobs will be able to pathfind and follow you around corners and obstacles!
Unfortunately, these changes (namely the new biome) necessitate a new world because the algorithm has changed. As planned, Vincent and James will be getting a world reset, but with the following caveats:
- James and Vincent may be merged.
- You will be able to keep your items and houses from Vincent, though this will be a manual process where we move your house over from the old world.
At the moment, we have
no plans to make any major changes to Alice's world.
